| There was a little boy, walking on the shore. Each time he saw a starfish on the sand he would pick it up and throw it back in the sea to avoid it from drying dead under the sun. Someday, a man who had been watching the little boy for some times asked him: - Why do you even bother picking them up? Don't you see you'll never finish! There are so many! Even if you pick them all up, tomorrow the sea will bring some others. - But sir, answered the little boy, I may not be able to finish but it doesn't matter. At least I will change something for that one, and he threw another starfish. The man stood motion less for a second and began to laugh. So, without bothering him self no more, the boy continued his walk, throwing starfish after starfish... |
